The aim of Scriptum Studios is to create or assist in creating video game experiences that all or most people can enjoy.
Scriptum Studios is a freelance game development company that creates or assists in the design and development of video games. Since the business isn’t very large and is just starting out, for now the focus will be on small in-house developed video game experiences or assisting other game development studios with most aspects of game design and development.
As of right now, I am the only person involved in the business which means I am responsible for producing every aspect of the company’s productions. In the future, I am definitely open to employing other personnel to assist me in developing our products. They can fulfill a ‘jack-of-all-trades’ role similar to me but preferably they would have more specialised skillsets to maximise the potential for each aspect of our products. Some examples of roles I would be looking to fill are: UX Designers, 3D Artists, Level Designers and Programmers.
The business is going to be financed in multiple ways. At first the business will rely on government grants or tax relief to get going as necessary facilities will need to be sourced. After this prototypes for game ideas can be created which then can be used to pitch these ideas to potential publishers as well as to set up crowdfunding campaigns. Additional finance can be obtained through efforts to assist other game development companies which will help to keep the business sustainable as the income gained from this can be used to fund the smaller in-house projects.

The business is going to market its in-house video game experiences using a business YouTube channel to show teasers. Other productions from the business will be part of external games so they won’t need advertising.
